Hey guys. So unfortunately no pictures today, but definitely some drama. We played two shows at the Lincoln Center Theater at the HARTT school, and although both shows may have gone well, there was a little drama back stage. It amazes me sometimes how easily stories and events can get misconstrued. It brings me back to the telephone game we used to play when we were kids. You know. The one where you whisper something in one person's ear and than see what happens 30 kids later? One of our poor castmates today got totally thrown under a bus for something that he/she didn't even do wrong, and of course the producer originally sides in with the venue, but then later retracts the comment and makes an apology. It just blows my mind how when you're touring, the littlest issues can sometimes become big meltdowns. I know I fall victim to it all the time! Like when I throw a fit because the SM can't mix our sound from the back of the house (hehehe).
So a word to the wise. Just always remember to take a deep breath before saying anything you might regret, or writing an email that could get misread, because once something is said or sent, it cannot be taken back...
Other than that, things were awesome. We stayed in an amazing hotel last night and had two fantastic shows that the kids really enjoyed. I really feel like I'm starting to blend in well with the cast. It's hard to believe that I've only known most of the people for 4 days!! I'm excited to see how this amazing show can grow and evolve with new castmates! :-)
Anywho, enjoy the blog, your night, and anything else worth enjoying. Until next time!
Mucho Love.
